Celebrating Leap into Science 2022!
The Mathematics and Science Education Center is partnering with the Watauga County Branch of the Appalachian Regional Library to celebrate Leap into Science Week. This year's theme is Light and Shadow, and young learners will find activity bags available for pick up at the Watauga County Branch of the Appalachian Regional Library (located at 140 Queen Street, Boone). The bags include everything you need to explore shadows, and you can join in the activities with teachers Carly Mize and Susan Caton by watching the video below!
If you can't get to the library but would like to explore with Carly and Susan, you can probably find many of these materials in your own home: a flashlight, molding clay, toothpicks, craft sticks, foam animal stickers, and chalk.
